hey I have a 1990 coupe manual with auto climate control. Where is the a/c clutch relay? On the firewall behind the battery for the auto climate and under dash for manual climate right?
Second... the engine will run high idle then low idle with eng light on and sometimes stall. then snap like a light switch eng light goes off and it runs perfect. There are no codes at all any ideas?

According the FSM the AC Clutch Relay is below the left hand side of the Instrument panel, left of the steering column.
To check your idle problem you will need to check the TPS and the IAC. See if they are the correct values and if not adjust or replace as required.

Okay new info: when the cooling fan turns on the eng light comes on and the idle is high sometimes and low sometimes. Then fan turns off and the eng light turns off and idle is steady. Must be a short? or bad fan? Where do I start?
Fixed.... any electical problems start creeping up replace the ecm "computer" they are cheap and keep your old PROM
