Hey I'm getting ready to finish up my new engine and was going to go with an adjustable fuel pressure reg. Just wondering if some are better than others. Also are they adjustable w/o removing anything, it looks close in there.
Re: AFPR for 89 L98 - Which one should I use? (HeeHaw89)
I use the HyperTech AFPR; it has a hex screw which is easy to reach once installed.
Jegg's has an ACCEL FP gauge that mounts to the fuel rail. It's looks good on there and is very convenient for checking FP while adjusting and for a quick leak down check.

Those Adjustable units are all pretty much the same, some form of adjustment bolt on top. I had a problem with that little screw leaking vacume and it was not coopering with the FP and the overall running of the car. What i did was put a little dab of silocone on the threads to eliminate the vacume leakage.
There are other fixes to prevent it, however, for the most basic of add-ons, there all pretty much the same. I have a new diaphram and adjustable unit if you may be interested. I don't have my L98 anymore, so there up for grabs if i still have them.
For adjustment all yo need is a little wrench or a allen head. I think you just have to remove the plenum extension. On mine, it had a 6-point bolt head, and you could just reach in with a small 6mm or so wrench.
Good Luck
