Default What all is needed to convert a TPI to a carb?

My friend wants to convert his '86 Z51 coupe w/ 383 to a carb. What else is needed beside intake, carb, and fuel pump regulator?

Youll need to adapt linkage for throttle and trans(if auto). You need a low profile air cleaner. You need to reroute some plugs and vacuum lines.Probably need a distributor. Im sure you will run into other issues. I wont get into what a huge mistake i think he is making. :nonod:

They sell a Weiand Low profile intake. I can run a full size air breather with this intake. Have the intake matched to the heads. A freind of mine is still running the stock ignition even with a carb set up. His 383 is pulling 11.2s in the quarter.
I made the switch on my 86 and am very happy I did. No regrets. Send me an email if I can be of further help.
Matt
