[QUOTE=Drew1Down;1578153509Oh yea, get some cold water and spary it or hold an ice cube on it when it starts acting up (don't get your opti wet), ICM's are not cheap.[/QUOTE]

Better yet, get a can of "Cold-Fire" or spray-freeze used for electronics, and use that to cool down the ICM.

So I used a can of freeze off and sprayed it on the ICM and cooling fins for about 5 minutes when my car was idling after it started running all crappy again. I didnt notice any immediate changes but got in the car and drove it a few blocks after the ICM had felt almost ice cold, the car drove a lot better, more responsive and idled pretty good.
Should I change the ICM completely or do you think taking it apart and clean it thoroughly will work?
Thanks!

clean it up, make sure the electrical contacts are clear and throw it back in, if you notice a difference when its cold, drive it till it gets hot again. Replace if needed with an ACDelco part
