I need to order a complete engine kit for my 94 LT1, its gonna be a stock rebuild. WOULD like to lighten valve train a little if I could because its a track day car. I am going with a new oil pan and pump. Its sits near readline most of the time and just a little lighter top end and MILD idle cam would be nice. Suggestion with part#s would really help. Looking for suggestions from experience (best kind) and thanks in advance. Bore will be stock size.
if you're running redline speed, your stock set up will end up coming apart...
I'd go shopping for a rotating assy in the stock bore size thats got some forged pieces, like pistons and crank at least. It;ll offer a variety of better rods that can handle spinning at that speed.
Roller rockers with upgraded springs and some nice pushrods will be a nice valvetrain enhancement. When all assembled new, it'll work well.
Theres a zillion cam choices available for what you're doing, even more if you use rollers with a 1.6 ratio intake and 1.5 ex....thats a common set up.
