Hello All, I am new here and require some assistance. I have a 1985 C4 and am trying to locate the "AMBIENT TEMPERATURE OVERRIDE SWITCH". I have some info from another site (obviously not as good as this one lol) that says it is on the firewall, engine drivers side but cannot seem to locate it. I am looking for this to hopefully eliminate it as the problem of the intermittent dashboard light issue. Also if anyone can give me the location of the ground for the dashboard cluster I would be grateful. Thank you for you time and trouble and have a great day. jon

What issue?
the liklihood of the switch or ground causing the dash to flicker are remote..
The ground is behind the cluster on the inside firewall.
If the cluster is going dark with TS arrows and blu beam lite on, thats the common fault of a cracked ground terminal on the main board in the cluster. easy enough.
If its the LCDs back-lighting flicker, thats most often internal as well. Your most important grounds are all together near the oil filter. They are found on bolts on the block or the trans.
Sometimes the headlight switch can cause some flicker since thats where the dimmer level originates.
