Rear spring upgrade?
Do these stock springs fatigue like metal springs over the years? If a spring has the same lb. rating is it the same as say a VBP or other composite spring?

The VBP monospring droops a lot and fast.
I installed the Sport package in May 2008, in Oct 2009 I had to raise the front 1/2" because it was rubbing the fender/hood. Last Saturday I notice it is rubbing again therefore and needless to say it is drooping again.
I hope other members with other companies' aftermarket monospring chime in for me to start making an assessment on which one to buy next.

BTW...
you do NOT have to go by what the yr model is...all 84 thru 89 work. There is something for everyone in those yrs.
Trust me when I tell you that you'll have to live with whatever you should choose, so choose wisely. A stiffer rear (Z51 '84) is tempting for that road hugging race car feel, but on the street it can get old fast.

Why do you think yours are wore out?
FYI, compared to a steel spring, fiberglass springs have an infinite lifetime. When the developed these at GM the typical steel spring lasted only 250,000 full cycles on a test machine, the fiberglass spring went past 2 million and the engineers gave up. Showed little signs of fatigue with no loss in ability to carry weight or in spring stiffness.

[I] don't know if it is I was just checking on the likleyhood that is might be with the amount of miles on it. I have nothing to compare it to I don't know anyone with a C4 and I have never owned another.
However I am looking at upgrading the ride next as wasn't sure to stay with stock or go the coilover route. I have herd arguments on both. It would be mice if I only had to buy new shocks to be happy
