Default Exhaust Upgade Questions

I'm looking to enhance my exhaust system components, I'm thinking of going with TPIS headers with a corsa catback. But I'm still looking, and thinking, and doing research. What have you guys done and what kind of performance gains have you seen, how does it sound, and how bad is the resonance? Thanks

I've got no emissions here in MN so it doesn't really matter to me....

Jeff, your from Bartlett? Small world, I've got some family in Hanover Park.

I can not honestly say if I gained any horses. I do know I tend to put my foot in it more often and my enjoyment of driving it has increased.

Talking HP, am I better off spending $2000 on heads than $700 headers and $1000 exhaust?

Well for 93 the heads are good, you just need to port them and the intake manifold. Youll eventually have to upgrade the exhaust anyway if you want hp. You might as well do it now, and then save up for digging into the motor someday and then installing some AFR heads.

While you have some money, if you havent upgraded to the 95+ timing chain and vented opti, id definitely do that too.

The Opti just got replaced this winter so I'm not going to do that again until I need to. In a month or two I'll have about $2000 saved up to dump into my car and I'm trying to get the biggest HP gain for the $$. I've got a list of things that I want done and heads and exhaust will eventually have to be done, but which should I do first, what'll give me the biggest speed gain?
