Need some solid advice again...
I ordered a DANA 36 today with 3.07 gear ratio. How do you calibrate the speedometer after the swap? I am going from 2.59's to 3.07's. I was told by three different "experts" three different things. I don't believe any body until I check with every one on the forum though. Is this going to be a tough install?
Thanks for the advice, I will let you know how it goes.
On a 90 you can just chance the speedo gears in the tail of the tranny. The simpliest part of the change. Give Jeff Kopp a call 1-800-728-8267, let him know you're on the forum. He'll set you up for a good price.

:yesnod: I'm doing the gears on my '93 and all of the speedo gears are in the tail shaft of the tranny. I needed 2 gears, 1 sensor and a new tail shaft gasket. Like the post above, give Jeff a call and tell him what you're doing - he'll set you up right. As a matter of fact, I won't buy original GM parts from anyone else!

Well said, the electronic box like dakota digital makes warns against using them with anti lock brakes. Ive heard some say it works ok, But I wonder how would you know? The gears and sensor are the correct way to do it and a lot cheaper then the box!! Good luck
