Just got a 93 corvette auto without ride control. The shocks look original and have crud on them and are yellow. It is stock and i wont be racing it so what shocks should i put on it? And where is the best place to buy them thank you.
The stock shock for the '93 was a Bilstein HD (yellow in color).
I replaced my stock shocks with Bilstein Sports, which are designed for the Z51 suspension. I like the way they firmed up the ride compared to the stock shocks.
I've also heard good things about the Edelbrock's, too.
KYB's will give you a more comfortable ride than the Bilsteins, but you give up some performance during spirited driving. I got mine from Tire Rack, at a great price. Do not go with Monroe.

ragtop, what if you were preparing an old Vette to give to a grandaughter? I have SRC, but rear seems spongy when you do the old-school bounce test. Probably original Bilstein's.
