Default Plenum removal

Got the fuel filter changed no problem, had a little time to get it ready to change fuel injectors. Next step gently lift up on plenum. It wont budge, it is tight @#$$%^&&*. What is the best way to get it off with no damage. I know you guys have an answer. Ill wait. Im open to all suggestions, Thanks again.

you jumped a lot of steps! I assume all bolts are removed. you can budge it with the four top runner bolts out. can loosen the bottom runner bolts but you may not be removing them. don't know. it is wedge shaped so should come out. or "budge."

***forgot the metal brake booster line but that should allow it to budge. maybe explain what you have done so we don't guess.

you may need to loosen the lower bolts on one of the runners.

Loosened 5 bolts on the lower runners , May need to loosen the 6th one on the inside.

can't get to it with plenum on. I would use a long piece of 2x4, or get leverage on intake rather than rails, gently pry it up. Wood can't break the plenum. wd40 on the gaskets, etc.

Should not have to lossen the runner bolts. did you remove the metal boost vacume line off the back of the plemum. it will not lift right off tap it up with a plastic hammer.

It should lift up with just some pressure, sounds like previous owner really glued it on for you..Like mentioned above plastic hammer or tap with hammer on a piece of wood on front of plenum, this may break it loose, don't go crazy.....WW

Previous owner's mechanic punched a hole in the intake runner with a screwdriver trying to pry the runner away from the plenum. Had to use JBweld to fix that hole that was shaped like a tip from a flat blade screwdriver. Be careful prying things the walls on the runners are thin.

When I pulled mine, I used a crow bar to wedge it up. Just a bit of pressure and POP, it came loose.
