Default Ideas?? Bogging down 1st to 2nd shift.

Went to dyno last night-
With addition of LT headers my power curve rpm increased from 4500 to 4700. I easily hit 100+mph for quarter mile but with no decrease in time.

But, I noticed a substantial bog down when I shifted from 1st to 2nd if I shifted at the 4700. To minimize this bog, I had to shift at 5200-5300 rpm. No problem from 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th.

Since my last visit to the dyno I installed - Headers, Hypertech coil/cap, new wires, accell header plugs (changed gap from 35 to 40).
Timing set at +8 TDC,
Fuel pressure 48 (With headers could this be too high?)

Any ideas or suggestions on correcting the 1st to 2nd shift???

I know I am replying to my own question - But, this is what I found -

Fuel pressure toooooo high with headers. Pressure of 48 lbs was fine without headers. Set pressure to 44 and even my average miles per hour went up from 13.3 to 16.2 - a 22% increase .

Just thought you might like to know.
