Still having problems with tach / shift light.....
I have got a auto meter shift light and a MSD RPM activated switch, and I am having a problem with the tach not working, when I hook the tach wire to the RPM switch. The switch is grounded properly, and the shift light works when it is hooked up, but the tach doesn,t. It is either one or the other. I am thinking about running a wire directly from the coil, and see if that works. Anyone else have this sort of problem??

Im not sure about a 1992 but my 1991 has an inline tach filter between the coil and the tach. Did you tap into the tach wire before or after the filter? Running a wire directly from the coil will bypass the filter.
