1992 Vette Info.
Anything and eveything that this site or others may have on this year would be great, thank for all your help.
I would recommend taking the car to a good chevy dealer and have them run a good inspection on the car. this normally cost about $75 dollars.
But you can do these things
1.Ask the owner if the optispark has been changed.
Note: this is a part that replace the normal rotor and cap setup on the 92-96's This part normally wear out around 80k on this model. it retail for parts and labor around $1000.00 at the dealer.
but the forum guys get the part for around 300. and the labor for about 350.
2.See if he has any special warrenty information
3.Check to see if he kept records of oil changes and upgrades
4.Insure that he air conditioner works
5.Insure that the cruise control works
6.Make sure the lights go up and down (listen for extended light motor noise)
7.Insure that the ABS works(There is a button on the driver's left side) this is for wheel slippage control.
If some of the smaller things do not work, then you can use it as a bargaining tool to lower the price
