Running Rich/Off.. headers?

Running Rich/Off.. headers?

OK. I know my 95 USED to get better mileage.... as well as now the stainless tips are a little dark and the car is smelling like it is running rich. Here's the scenario...

Long tube Headers installed around a half year ago-ish... Eliminated the cats as there wasn't much room. Only running the 2 O2 sensors, and the third on the passenger side is not hooked up.

So either.... I need to replace and plug that third sensor in? Or somehow fork over big bucks to jam the high flow cats back up in there....

Thoughts?

Did you tell the ECM you eliminated cats by tuning out rear o2?

First thing is check for exhaust leaks. ANY small leak remotely close to the o2 sensors and it will start running rich. Check your plugs to see if they are fouled.

The third o2 sensor is not causing your problem, it is useless.

95 should'nt have a 3rd o2 sensor should it?

Start with the basics and verify the tuneup.Clean the mass airflow meter.

94/95 had one post-cat o2 sensor. Why, who knows?
