94 Stumble when cold
My 94 stumbles and coughs in the morning when the car is not warmed up yet. It has every since I have owned it. I live pretty close to a 65 mph highway so pulling into traffic in the morning can be an adventure. When I first start the car the idle comes up fine and I gradually take off down to the stop sign and when I start to accelerate onto the highway first gear is fine, then once I shift into second the car starts to stuble all over itself, I can usually baby the throttle and it will come back then it never does it again until the next morning. I have changed plugs and of course the water pump but basically everything else on the car is original 106,000 miles.

There's nothing strange, the engine is just cold. Let it heat up before you take off, like your dad always used to tell you when you'd borrow his truck on a cold morning. It will save you some repairs down the road if you let it sit and warm up for a minute or 2. I always wait at least until my coolant gets up to 110 degrees or so.
