I'd wouldn't mind driving a 911 with the looks of a Porsche and the drivability and ease of repair of a LT1. :yesnod:

Damn, the older Porsches were real tail happy in corners. I can't imagine what the extra weight back there is going to do.

A good friend of mine has an '87 944 he really wants to put an LT1 into. It is supposedly a fairly straightforward swap. The torque an lt-1 provides sure would make that tiny 944 or 911 get up and go!

Actually, I think the 944 is one of the best looking cars ever made. I was thinking of doing a v8 conversion in one before I got my vette...still may. This is how far I got in my planning...

Thats the ticket, a LT1 in a porsche. I know a few locals here in VA that have LT1's in Jags. Makes for a very nice and reliable car.
