Default What are the thead sizes on front tie rod ends?

Hi I'm looking for a front bump steer kit for my 93 corvette I lowered. I found a set at speedway motors for pretty reasonable. These are studs that have the GM tie rod cone end on one side and 5/8" fine treads on the other end of this piece. The 5/8" end gives you apx. an inch up and down adjustment to level out the height of steering rods. You have to replace the factory tie rod end with a female heim rod end. I need to know what the size of the threads are on stock tie rod ends. Are they metric? What do you think of using the the heim joints rather than the factory rod ends on the street? These heim joints are not greased for one thing. Thanks Tim
