Here i am again and still lost with this car. Let me try again and see if anyone can figure it out.First i will start with all the new parts then i will explain the behavior .
New fuel filters on pump and feed line
new coil, rotor button, ignition module and wires
new MAF sensor and relays,TPS and egr valve and o2 sensor
Thats the most of the parts i guess
Now can anyone exclain why it starts fine and idles great but cuts out under a load? Backfires into the intake at times to.
fuel pressure is 40 psi when driving under load.
My 79 L82 did me that one time - took me a while to figure out that I had the 5&7 spark plug wires reversed. In my defense - I had the wires routed under the headers and it was hard to see the "twist". Changed them on the cap - issues gone.
It would idle fine but would backfire out of the carb and stall out when I put it in gear and applied throttle. If you are backfiring through the intake there is more than likely an ignition issue.
Would help if we knew what car you have and if you have attempted to pull codes. It appears you are simply throwing parts at it which is expensive and depends on luck for a satisfactory repair.
The fuel pressure needs to rise under load, make sure the pressure is going up when you apply trottle. This is possibly related to the fuel pressure regulator.
Ok sorry it's an 87 and I had codes for pretty well all the parts I replaced last was code 34 that I solved with replacing the relays and MAF sensor. But it still doesn't work rite at all. Oh and the pressure does rise when I accelerate. Keep trying everyone and sooner or later we might solve this nightmare
