Troubleshooting TPS for 85

I did a search and saw a post on about this for a 90 but is the voltage the same for an 85?

What should the voltage be at idle and WOT?

also is it A and B that i need to check?and do i need to short the computer when i check the voltage?

Yep...A & B

Engine off
Ing. ON
.54 volts

Do not ground the ALDL
Make sure you use THREE jumper wires or back probe A & B

I am getting .51 volts it looks like it is a very small adjustment to get 5.4 volts.

VERY small. Just tapping it would probably yield more than enough results. You can actually go up as high as 0.68v at idle before throwing a computer code, but 0.54 is stock.

actually just took a ratchet and just pryed it up a little. maybe my chugging will now be gone.

would .03 volts make that much of a differance?
