You are correct. My only plan for this car is to be one badazz street car with some occasional runs down the strip. I have no intentions (or enough funds) for a crazy motor. This is just some ideas I'm putting together, and that question just proved the fact that I haven't thought this through enough! 
Even old TRW forged pistons are just fine for your application.
They are a tough piston even yet today.
Very thick piston crowns- domes or dishes.
Top piston ring placement is around .300".
Perfect for a mild to moderate blown application.
Don't need a light weight piston & not desired in a Roots Blown application.
Now Sealed Power pistons- Federal Mogul.
I would use a Ductile Iron - Plasma Moly faced top ring package though.
Piston ring seal will last with Roots Blown Boost & your right gas foot planted hard.
