Thanks

I have a 1990 Vette.
Prob best to locate the wire coming out of CCM under dash and do work there so connections are not in the engine bay
Is there a good schematic on line?
I sent the seller an email but I'm not holding my breath.
Cost for the unit was $20.00 delivered.
That was $150.00 less than a simular unit from another seller.
I haven't driven my 1990 in 3 weeks, it would sure be nice to take a road trip in it.

Factory service manuals are year specific, and will cover everything for your car.
Sometimes you can find them on the big auction site, or even in the for sale section here on the forum.
Anything you find on "CD" will be a bootleg (illegal) copy, and probably missing quite a bit of important information.
Link to the factory service manual for your 1990.

See the note at the bottom:
Also included with your purchase, and included in the above price.
(1) ST36490SB - 1990 Corvette Service Manual Supplement
(2) ST36490EDM - 1990 Corvette Electrical Diagnosis Service Manual Supplement
Simple installation and no wire cutting. Then take your Vette out for a drive.

BTW, all the VATS problems that I've had were either related to the key's pellet not making contact with the ignition switch's resistance readers contacts. Solved one with a new key and the other with a by-pass module. (Didn't want to buy a new ignition switch as the contacts were shot.)

It's a #5.
All I really need is a VATS wireing diagram for the 1990 Vette.
What I have will work just fine. With a little effort and some knowledge
I have a $20.00 fix to share with the group.
So s there anyone out there who can help with out selling me a $150.00 shop manual or selling me an easy way?
I know there is if I can get them to read this thread.
Thanks
Ralph
on the RED ECM connector (B).

This diagram shows the pin out for the other two ECM connectors.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Went out tonight and wired it in.
It was realy pretty simple.Top red wire went to the #1 connector on the Green connector. The plug is green so that is easy to find and the pins are numbered on the back of the plug.
#2 is the signal feed and the top white wire goes to that one.
The 3rd wire is not needed on a 1975 and the bottom red wire goes to ground.
I loosener a bolt by the hood latch and wraped it around it and tightened it down.
There is a small LED light that lights up when it's connected right.
I simply stripped a little wire back wraped the chip's wire around it and soldered it and wrapped it with electricans tape.
Here is what I purchased:

Cost is $14.99 plus $5.00 shipping.
It works like a charm, very simple to install especially with the help from
Hooked on Vettes.
Thanks for the help and I hope this works as good for you as it does for me.
I soldered mine and you should solder yours too.
Let me tell you I'm so glad this turned out good.
Hot August Nights Reno here I come.
