Clean the trash of from between the rad and the AC, there is always a lot of leaves, paper etc that blocks cooling.

If that does not do the job,,

Dewitt makes a bolt in direct fit rad, more CFM as well

What has you worried with engine cooling ?

What are you summer driving cooling temps this past week?

It has been real hot out that's for sure.

I did all the fixes including the dewitts fan, which worked very well even though a bit noisy, the best thing my self and a few others did was to switch to an alluminum two row radiator, you can find them as low as $150 shipped all the way up to over $600. they're a direct fit for the stock radiator. I am doing a few other things , but that was the best cool it down , now, fix.

A thermostat does nothing to improve cooling, all it does is open sooner.

..... If you haven't already ... clean out the trash between the A/C condenser and radiator . I fabbed in a Ford Taurus fan with the two speed motor ... on high speed it sounds like a 737 but cools like the Yukon ... reportedly pulls 4000 cfm ............

I have the Dewitt's fan on my 89, cools it right down, 1/3 more air then stock..You didn't say what year your car is but they make fans for all years. Like mentioned above check for junk in front of your radiator first....WW

On a properly maintained cooling system, the stock fan is fine. If you want a better fan, "Spal" fans are the best!... A lot of good aftermarket companies use Spal fans in their setups such as Be-Cool.

just as an info aid, dewitts sells their fan adapter for C4's seperate , $25 plus shipping ,will work with any 16" fan, with minor tweeks (drilling). saves all that reinventing the wheel B.S. and they are some of the nicest folks I've purchased from . this is my current interest, 4500cfm 5 year unconditional warrentee, still deciding bout the oe fan shroud tweeking.
