front spring squeak

After pressure washing the front end of my 85 ,due to an oily power steering leak I now have a huge squeak in the front spring area. I can feel the scrapeing of the spring when the suspension is bounced. Anyone have any ideas ?

What about spraying some wd40 around the area where the rubbers are. I have the same issue on my 84. Haven't tried to stop the squeak yet.

This noise is more of a scrape than a bushing squeak, but it is going to get the silicone wd treatment monday after work Oldcoach 422

check the pads on the springs down where they contact the a-arms.

they may have been worn out before, you just didn't notice it due to the grease.

Don't use a silicone spray for anything under the hood, it's too easy to get to the oxygen sensor and screw it up. Use a rubber lube.

It may also be your sway bar bushings that are causing your squeak, robber lube will take care of that.
