91 no start after 2 years storage (update)
I just ohm'd the injectors..
Drivers side front to rear are 16.0 16.1 16.1 15.9
Pass side front to rear is 16.1 16.1 16.0 00.5

I so didn't want to have to replace them..
I'm assuming one dead injector will not shut the whole system down so I'll still be dealing with a no start condition once I replace the injectors

Did check the fuses.. they are fine. 12V on each side, I pulled them and checked for continuity too for the heck of it.

Still stinks I have to pull the upper off but if it is a 'most likely' will run when back together scenario I'm OK with that ~
Time to call Mr. Banner~
Joe, just want to say I appreciate all the input you've had to this thread.

Bad fuel pump and injectors. Sitting that long and with that much water in the fuel system is a killer. '90/'91 Multecs are notorious for failure under normal circumstances, much less the extremes yours have been exposed to.
He had me unplug just the injector that was at 00.5 and try to start the car..
Fired right up and idles by itself. Granted, its running rough, but I was able to drive it around the yard with no problem

I'm ordering a set of Bosch injectors and a gasket set..
Looks like I'll have something fun to do Saturday~

yes, I understand water in fuel. but to jump from "water in tank" for 2 yrs, to water in fuel rails, is a leap in logic. the water is -what? 15 feet away?
fsm says 37-42 lbs fuel pressure is normal, and is normal for it to drop as soon as fp is off.
either way, the pressure did not explain a 2 sec run time.
curiously, fsm does not mention that a shorted inj will shut down the signal. I got that from guys on this forum and "boomdriver," corvetteactioncenter. it does say that no tach during crank means no pulses. just some info for the next thread....

** I recall cusinartvette saying to ohm the injectors, days ago!

He specifically said "Try getting the ohms reading on the injectors if you can get the motor warm."
I couldn't even get it to run, never mind warm up

At that point I was still wondering about fuel pressure and hadn't tested it yet~
That said, point taken.. Would've saved some amount of effort to check that sooner.

My car was running fine. Driven daily. The fuel level indication stoped working and so I pulled the fuel tank sending/pump assembly and found the level unit broken. I was lucky enough to find a complete spout/sending unit/fuel pump. A NOS GM part, new in the box.
After installing the new fuel assembly in the tank, my car wouldn't start. From there on the symptons sound just like yours. I have since had some moments where the car started and ran just fine but then moments later would not start again, or start but sputter and die. I tried switching back to the original fuep pump assembly, but the problem presisted.
I suspect a loose connection somewhere in the circuit through the ECM and/or the CCM. A very diffacult problem to find.
Do you see any evidence of water intrusion or corrosion around the ECM connections on yoour car?

How much/little fuel in the tank?
Driven daily, so it may not apply to you, but it´s not good to let the tank almost run empty because of possible fuel pump overheating.
I don´t let it go under 5 gallons or so before filling up to full again.
Don´t rely on the fuel gauge but use your trip meter instead.
If you zero it every time you fill up, you can´t go wrong.
Drive up to 350 miles max. and fill up again...
If your milage is in the normal range of course, say 22-23 mpg.
I got a set of Bosch 3's from Jon and put them in today..
Took about 3 hours from start to finish (20 minutes of that was trying to retrieve one of the runner bolts I dropped down behind the motor
)End result.. Started right up, idles smoothly. After it ran for 10 or 15 minutes I took it around the block. Great throttle response, spins 'em like crazy off the line and the car is running fantastic.
I had forgotten how 'fun' it is to tear down the L98 upper intake.. good grief those 2 runner bolts you get from the opposite side stink LOL..
At least I can rest easy now that the fuel system is cleaned out and the injectors should cause me no grief from now on~
Thanks again to those who had input.. and especially to Jon for the excellent service both in diagnostics and product~
