Default INFL REST LIGHT

Ok, I have read numerous posts about the infamous airbag light staying lit on 90 vettes and mine is one of them. I have no trouble codes. Also the seatbelt light on dash stays lit all the time. I have followed all the fixes that I have seen posted, removing each of the sensors and sanding the frame for better ground and so on. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks :chevy

I don't know if it makes the difference in this case. There was another post recently about a 90 that the seat belt light came on and stayed after an aftermarket stereo was installed. It didn't say however if the INFL light was on. I was kinda fishing.

Mine did it and it was COMPLETELY stock. Mine was the sensor on the passengers side. I got it fixed and a month or so later it blinked again.

Yes, it's the original radio. I have already followed the post you mention. No Luck. But I am confused because I have no trouble codes

This could be a dumb question, but after you removed and cleaned your sensors did you go through the procedure to remove the light. The light will not go out by itself.

The CCM will have it's own trouble codes stored than the ECM. You will check the ECM trouble codes by watching the 'check engine' light. The CCM codes are displayed on the digital dash where the MPH readout is. There is a procedure in the Helms manual to display them. It's quite involved, and I don't have it memorized or I would type it here. It will tell you what part of the INFL REST system is throwing the code.

I have this same Problem on my 90'. Its been to the dealer but no fix. Now I think either the dash light burned out or they unplugged it but the seatbelt light stays lit. I tried pulling the code off of terminal 'K' like the help section stated but got no codes at all... even the 12 code... anyone have any input on how to get it to throw the code. I tried several grounds but to no avail... I may make this my weekend project (sensor ground cleaning) and do my fuel filter while I'm under there
