Default Replacing Fuel Tank 88 Vert

Need help fellas...if I opt to replace my fuel tank on my 88 vert, can it be taken out without removing the entire rearend of the car?

And, any vendors sell NOS or reproduction tanks at a reasonable price?

Is listed as 'for 89+ but no noticeable difference between my '87 and '90 tanks
NB;
the sending unit alone is worth $200 (without the pump).

Could always sell those to recover some of your outlay

I don't have any of my Vette books with me, sorry if this is redundant due to the previous post. If I recall correctly, the later year tanks are partitioned/divided to prevent fuel starvation due to sloshing in a turn. If I were replacing my tank I'd want to take advantage of this if possible. Anyone know when this change occured and whether the newer tank can be mounted in the OP's car? (or my '87 for future reference)

There are two ways to get the C4 tank out; 1, remove the rear bumper fascia, 2, sawzall.

Showing off that Solid Axle 12- bolt Chevy rearend again Will...........

There is no way a C6 rear independent setup can take the abuse you dish out in your 1984 drag race Vette.

I just can not see it lasting forever Will.

12- bolt you have YES.

Thanks for the photos in the past.

You are the #1 reason why I am installing my 1957 Pontiac rear into my '87 Vert.
