1990 Pass Side headlight opens only half way
I tried searching the forums to see if there was already an answer to this question, but I can't find my exact scenario.
When I switch on the headlights the passenger side only opens half way. I can manually turn it to the open position, but it doesn't stay.
When I switch the lights off, it closes fine.
I have seen articles that describe problems with the bushings or the gears, does anyone know which one will fix this?

Most likely the bushings. A cheap and easy fix.

One day I found a bolt missing that holds the coolant overflow tank to the wheel wall. I bought a new bolt and had to do some slight mods to get the bolt back in. My son drove the car that night and had the same problem. The passenger headlight would only flip up half way. He then used the manual crank to get it open. When he came home I checked it out and found the headlight panel was catching on one of the braces for the coolant overflow tank. I bent back one of the braces and it is working fine now. It did take some paint off and chipped the fiberglass on the headlight panel.
