Default Low oil light

Technical insight please. Each time I start my 1993, I get a low oil light. If I cut it off and re-start, it goes away. My oil is at the proper level and clean. The oil pressure generally runs around 60 PSI. Any ideas on what causes this or how to fix it?

The low level indicator is screwed into the drivers side of the oil pan. Next oil change, I would pull it out when the pan is drained and clean it up with carb cleaner. If it still happens, then I would swap the switch out for a new one the next time the pan is drained.

The switch has a sleeve that floats when the oil level is high enough. When the oil level drops below the sleeve, the sleeve contacts the body of the switch and it sets off the oil light.
