Default Hello

Just picked up a bone stock 92 vette and there is only 2 things wrong.

Passenger seat back will not latch correctly, kind of unnerving stopping fast and the seat back moved forward.

second is the spare tire holder, it will not stay tucked underneath, the T bar (for a lack of a better word) keeps coming down to the lower position.

For the seat - you may need to pull the seat out of the car and inspect and adjust the latch mechanisim.

Spare tire holder on my 92 would do the same thing. Until I removed it to save weight I used some ty wraps to hold the tire holder up.

Good luck!

Your probably going to have to either rebuild or replace the seat bracket. There are kits in a few places. Just do a google search for it.

The retainer is not so easy. You would think that it would be an easy part to find, but not really. I found some Ebay links.

Thanks, man had the car 2 days and already working on it. LOL

Tried bending the tabs down, one side cracked. I welded it and hopefully it will hold.
