Dana 44
Dana 44 center sections complete minus batwing cover sell anywhere as low as $400 to as high as $2,500 on ebay from my watching close in past 3 years.
If you sell your Dana 44 complete center section for $650 - $800,
You did very well in this bad US economy.
The Matching Dana 44 batwing covers have sold as low as $200 with no one watching to as High as $850 with no cracks or accident damage.
A complete Dana 44 with matching factory installed batwing cover rebuilt with new posi clutch packs & new Timken bearings throughout is worth
as low as $1500 to as high as $2,000 to me.
the year does not matter to me.
1985- 1996.
Feed enough power into a C4 Dana 44 & hookup hard,
They all explode apart the same because of extensive use of aluminum.
Dana 44 supply will dwindle in next 5 years to zilch with everyone drag racing & road racing hard on them and they will eventually explode them apart.
Just my thoughts there.
ebay is #2.
I bought my 1985 C4 Dana 44 from a fellow forum member a few years back.
Going solid rear axle is my plan.
Saving the Dana 44 & batwing for another forum member.
Has been a while.
Holding it for him yet.
Its killing me some days.
Like to get the $$ and use it for my 87 Vert & plans.
But I kept my word to him I would hold onto to it yet.

NOS housing, new Dana differential, new Dana 3.73, bearing and seal package, NOS short axles. Short axles are "very steep" you could buy everything and use yours for a build!
I could offer the same package with a new Dana 4.10.
It's not inexpensive but "new"!
PM me if interested.

How much is worth? What ever it is worth for you to have.
