Default Really messed up and need help

Left a screwdriver in the wrong place, closed the hood and it punched right though the rubber connector(do not know what it is called), that connects the throttlebody to the air filter housing.

So, where can I get a new one?

Might call Mid-America or Ecklers and see if they offer a smooth bore replacement....called a "power cone". Otherwise you can search EBay vette parts selelrs and contact one of them for a used one.

Did the screwdriver just poke a hole in it or did it tear it too? A dab of sensor safe silicone will cover a small hole, just let it dry a couple hours before driving it.

Could be worse, it could have punched through the hood.

True, true. For a quick but temporary fix, "duck" tape is your friend. It is important that the hole be plugged before you drive.

That would have been the suckage.

For your problem and until you can get a replacement part - DUCK Tape! (Drat just saw the post above mine)

I can't beleive no one came up with that

You could also fix a big tear with silicone as well. At least to get you running till you get a new one if you must.
And reading the OPs post, I was about sure it was going to say screwdriver through the hood.

Or just put a screw in it if you don't have sillycone handy or a rubber tire plug.

I bet a coating or two or three of gorilla glue would work. Lay a piece of thin clear plastic poly sheet over the hole first and spread thin coats.

Duct tape, gorilla glue, WD-40 and 3-in-1 oil.

These are the requirements of an at home shop.

Thanks to a tip, found one.

It was a big screwdriver and ripped it up pretty bad, tried gluing and that did not work and there was no way to tape it over.

But thanks for the help!!!

Considering I have only had the car for a few days, YES!!!

Also, it is my only source of transportation, Audi is getting painted. So I am out $200 for a rental.

All total, my mistake is going to cost me about $250 +.

Don't feel too bad....a week after I painted my Vette, I left a socket set in its plastic case on top of my plenum and slammed the hood down on it. Not much clearance there....I can still see the cracks in the paint.
