Make sure it holds engine oil, transmission fluid, Power steering, radiator coolant OK yet before trying to fire it.
Be a good idea to visually trace out the Positive battery cable to the starter motor & make sure it is not cut, insulation chaffed- broken & touching body or engine ground points.
Follow the GM factory service manual for that year of Corvette when replacing airbags.
You may need to replace the DERM airbag module along with the front impact airbag shock sensors.
I got no experience on this but, wouldnt the deployment of airbags means that the frame bent? I know there is an air bag sensor on both ends of the front frame.
Oh yeah, the frame is bent, I bought this as a doner car and I;m going to put the running gear n something else but would like to make it run before I pull it all out.
I recall reading that a blown airbag fuse would prevent engine operation, sometimes the fuse burns after a collision. It depends on the extent of the damage to the sensors/wiring, as to whether the fuse would burn.
Can't say for sure on the Vette, but we get GM cars in the shop all the time that have blown bags that still run.
