Why does 100mph feel like 60mph?

Why does 100mph feel like 60mph?

Wow, I just can't get over how casual the LT1 takes 100mph.
Today I thought I was going 60mph, I looked down and the speedo read out 99mph... :eek:
And it takes relatively little time to get there.

Oh yea I locked my keys in my car today :rolleyes: w/o spare set.

Why does 170 feel like 150.
And if 150 feels like 100 and 100 feel like 60. Then 60 feels like 170, and 170 feels like 60? :confused: :confused: :D

but a cop told me that it looked like I was going 75mph when I was standing still :D

With 2.59's anything below 90 seems like about idle speed... Luckily, my route to work allows 100mph cruising and 145mph blasts routine. Makes driving the '99 Civic Si daily driver suck until the slow twisties make a showing :)

With the skinnies on the front, at about 70 on up on public roads, it becomes very very..interesting. But, back when i had the stockers on, it did feel like it was going slower then the car really was.
