Zz9 cam Q's
What's it worth used?
Have a friend with a used zz9 roller cam 700-118, appears to be in good shape n has the roller litters too. Everything he owns is clean n in great shape! His 9 second lt1 fun car is in impecible shape n has a/c. All tastefully done too

Otherwise, it will. There are other cams that will help more but it's not the worst choice out there.

seriously though, I run the cam currently; been running it for 7 years or so....my build originally consisted of an Edelbrock base/runners with the rest of the mods. you see listed below before going to the miniram. The cam is probably (it is) smaller than I would like now with the miniram, but it is a great performing cam from off idle to 5,800+ RPM. short enough duration to get the car out of the hole fast with low end/midrange grunt and pulls fairly well into higher RPMS; great set up with long runners since it works well in lower RPM ranges; may not be the best for a miniram intake like mine; put it this way my car is putting down 362rwhp with it; Corvette Fever managed to get 380rwhp with the ZZ9 in a 94 LT1 car by installing aftermarket heads (forgot what kind), upgrading to 1:6 ratio arms, headers, exhaust mods....and run a 1/4 at 114 mph with 4:10 gears (6 speed car) with Speed Hound Performance at the helm on the mods./tuning
One of the few C4 articles I think the magazine ever covered.
