Changed out the system in my 90 this spring. Installed a Sony single din with mount from Crutchfield. Used the Bose speaker mounts & cut them for the 5&1/2" fronts & 6x9 rears.
Follow this TSB for installation of the resistors that are required with a radio change. I had my parts for 6 months before I had time to install them & forgot about installing the resistors. The ATC immediately quit working. http://www.corvetteforum.net/c4/dave8476/index4.shtml
You can leave the tuner in place if you want to.
The original antenna lead will fit/reach.
There is a good ground source behind the glove box. 10mm socket size.
At the tuner you will need the connectors with:
Orange wire = hot all the time, radio memory/clock.
Pink wire = power antenna.
White wire = Hot in run & acc.
Finding the circuit the TSB refers to for the resistor power hook up was puzzling. I tied them to the keyed white wire, all is well.
@Churchkey. If an aftermarket stereo is installed, can it make the Automatic AC system flash. You state it did not work. What did not work?
OOPS, didnt see the date on this thread/
