In my setup, I have about 1100 into it.
I repinned my harness and you could do the same, but for a few hundred more, I would let them make the harness. For you to repin, you'll need a used harness (150) plus the diy kit from EFI (100). Since you're going into an 84, he has a standalone harness for $650 (so 400 incremental). This is high quality OEM type stuff.
Once I saw the diy kit that I got, I wish I had ordered the new harness from them for $800, the quality is that good.
