How hard is is to replace the front shocks on a 95 with FX3? Does the actuator on top just pull off? Is there a special wrench to remove the top fastener? The right side is leaking oil. Is it OK to just replace one that is leaking? Where is the best place to buy them. Corvette Central shows $189 ea. without the actuator.

Re: FX3 Front Shock Replacement. (honas)
Just send them in to be rebuilt. If you are doing the fronts, do the rears as well. They will more than likely be worn as well. Getting them rebuilt is 55 per shock.
TO remove, take the wheel off
Remove actuator by removing C clip that holds it on (pull actuator up)
13mm bolts and nuts on the bottom portion of the shock.
17mm nut holding the top of the shock on.
A arm assembly will collapse and you pull the shock out. I've gotten it down to 15 minutes for removal and reinstall.
The rears are a bit more tedious. But easy as well
