Default Stiff, Stubborn Top

Tried taking the top off my '95. Removed the two rear screws and loosened the two up front but boy is this thing stuck. Probably hasn't been taken off in a long time and I'm reluctant to force it. Any ideas?

Did you unbolt the side brackets just rear of each seat?

Yes, I've done that. Removed the two bolts in the roof above the seatbacks and loosened the front screws. I guess it's just created a seal over time. I just don't want to break the top by forcing it.

Default You have removed the rear 2, loosened the front.

Have you had it off before? Some folks may seal theirs with adhesive. Just want to make sure you haven't got it glued down first.

Next, try to pop it up on each side applying pressure from underneath. Like you said, not so much force as to break it. I find a constant push from underneath usually will get mine out. Sometimes find the screws are not all the undone, too.

Mine occasionally tries to bind up a little. Once you get it off, make sure you clean and lube the seals all around.

Good luck!
