After trying to narrow down some problems with the car last night, I went to bed and forgot to close the hood. Woke up this morning and it was pouring rain. Now the car won't start. It turns over and acts like it wants to crank, but it won't. Is this a wet optispark? What do I do?
It may be! If you can put a heat lamp or other source of neat near the opti. Do not start the car. The real death of them comes if it is wet and you try to start/run it for while. Let it dry for 24 hours or so in some heat.
I put a hair dryer and a heat lamp as close to the optispark as I could get, and after about 30 min. the car now starts, but runs very poor. I'm assuming this means that the opti is the problem. Now, do I start the car and take it on the highway to get some air moving through there or leave it sit like it is. I was supposed to be at work an hour ago:)
