Well that was easy enough and no dough spent. Just removed the hose leading to the drivers side connection of the TB. Removed the small s hose connected to the passenger side of the TB. Removed the small s hose from the line that runs along the top of the intake on the passenger side and connected the hose that went to the drivers side portion of the TB, directly to that line.
This seems more efficient, only one clamp to deal with so less chance of a leak.
I mean why clamp a conector between the two hoses, as some of these by-pass kits suggest? Do it this way and save the $$$$
If any thing it should help the flow of the coolant. As a matter of fact I believe that the coolant area of my throttle body is clogged. The input line was wet but the output was dry. Also no coolant came out of the TB.
Yeah, I did this last weekend when I installed a 52mm TB on mine. After I was done I was surprised that a "kit" is even sold to do this. If you do it as you described, it's simple, cheap and it looks good, like it came that way from the factory! (I also put some 3/8" rubber caps on the TB coolant lines to make it look a little bit more finished - someone else on the forum had come up with that idea.)
