Default Holley NOS Equipped TB?

I've asked this before, but few responses...

I'm looking at a larger TB for my mild LT4 and have some NOS parts available so the new TB that Holley is offering with nitrous passages is interesting.

Has anyone tried this TB?

What is included in the LT1/4 NOS kit? I already have the bottle and possibly the TB-would this decrease the ~$700 price of the complete system?

Thanks

:)

That holley TB is dry only, doesn't mix the fuel with it. So..... unless you're running a F.A.S.T. system or similar, stay away from it (no point in plumbing a nozzle just to inject fuel).

Also, the NOS kits contain a fuel pump which is definately needed on a higher shot of NOS. This is what usually drives the cost up (also the TB plate drives the price up to). If you want to do it somewhat cost effective, shop around for a good pump at a good price and find a wet kit and do the jettings yourself.

You could always pick up a used kit (fogger nozzle style) that came off a mustang or camaro and jet it correctly.

From what I have heard, TB plates are not as effective as spraying in the tube before the TB. I have heard people say that spraying too close to the intake doesn't allow nitrous to get to the two front cylinders. Again, only hearsay.

Thanks guys...

Another priority is to somewhat lower its visibility...:)

I do plan to keep the original computer and expected the NOS LT1 system to be a bolt on. My understanding is it is a dry system (kit uses a plate) and simply closes the fuel return to boost pressure. I plan no more than 100 HP increase-more than likely just 75 as I would rather go slightly slower than loose the engine:)

I think a 5 pound bottle will mount behind my Forza drivers seat inconspicously:)

The Holley TB looks to be of high quality...

Anyone else?

Thanks

:)

I thought only The NOS wet system used the plates? Wow, learn something new everyday.

You could always use something to pinch the return line and raise fuel pressure (I can't remember who, but someone has one that redirects the fuel return line ,when engaged, into a line that has something similar to a nitrous jet . This allows you to have some control of the fuel pressure by installing larger jets to lower fuel pressure and smaller ones to raise fuel pressure)

I honestly don't know all the particulars of the system...I was just going by an old magazine (1992) test of a 92 Corvette with the NOS 130HP system...

The throttle body is pretty pricy (~$500) so need some reassurance on its performance:)
