1993 Automatic. How do I remove the gear shift ****.

Mine pulls straight up. It takes a little pressure. The tough part is getting it back in. You have to line the stuff up.

use something to pull it up from both sides at once. It won't come up without breaking if you just try to pry on one side.

Pop off the push button, there is a snap ring holding it on the shaft, remove it and with some force pull up on it.
