Default 1995 Pulled Codes ??? Ping

I pulled the codes with the paper clip to begin hunting down an occassional ping.

I received a C12 which I know is good meaning no current codes on CCM.

I recevied an H44 on PCM (Module 4). Understand this to be lean exhaust.

My car has cut air lid, bored throttle body of unknown origin, shorty headers, and Corsa. Mods were done by previous owner and Corvette master tech at dealer many years ago, I have only had 6 months or so. All I know is he told me "it was richened up" when it was all done.

Car just turned 41,000 miles. Perhaps I am on to something here. Need to figure out now how to keep tracing this.

But my immediate question is this. Pressing the trip/odo button I was unable to get past the 1.7 CCM. I wanted to get to 4.7 so I could clear the H44 and see if it comes back. I thought you just press the trip/odo and once there hold eng/met until you get "---" meaning you have cleared the code? But could not get it too keep going to the other modules.

I am reading the factory service manual and not finding my answer?

Thanks.

I might have just found it on page 8D-9. I think I need to press "Trip Reset" to enter the desired module beyond the CCM. Once there, then you press "Trip Odo" until the deisred diagnostic mode is displayed on the trip monitor area of the cluster. Then press and hold "ENG/MET" until "---" or cleared.

Does that seem right?

That might be part of your problem. There is no way your stock tune needed "richened up" after those mods.

Also, check for an exhaust leak.

I thought about that too, but if it was too righ wouldn't that lead to a rich exhaust code? I will check for a leak as well.

Thanks
