Default Oil leak inside passenger side

I noticed an oily substance on the passenger side carpeting of my 1994 and then put my hand on the fire wall and the same oily material was there. Seems to be leaking onto the floor and saturating the carpeting. I can not identify the type of oil. Where is this originating?

After further investigation it was the heater core. I took my finger and scraped the carpet and saw the green antifreeze. Took the better part of a day to remove and replace. Shampooing the carpet in the car was not very effective. I took the seat and carpeting out and washed and rinsed thoroughly. Actually worthwhile to take the seat out. Found a quarter, the dash screw I lost during the heater core replacement and the carpet is clean as new. I plan on doing the drivers side now too.

Are you sure it's not coolant? If so, a bad heater core.

I pulled the carpet mat and sure enough was slimy coolant. Removed the heater core and will replace it today. Thx.
