All by myself. Yep. And i bumped up the timing to 8* I dont know how it runs yet cause its raining again but theres still a drought. My list of mods is growing. OOh question im thinking of either losing the pre cats or doing a hi-flow main. I dont want it real loud in the car. What do you suggest?
Let us know what difference removing the frisbee made... I would go with Flowmaster all the way back. Great rumble at idle, not too loud and once you hit 2500 and beyond it really sounds awesome. :jester
Congrats on finding that 10hp the General took away with the "frisbee".
Since the cat has a slip front and bot rear connection the easiest way is to do the 2 1/2" front Y and a hi-flow cat together. I think you can moderate loudness and resonance with the cat-back.
Congrats, I took off mine yesterday as well. I'm looking forward to getting back to the track as I also put on a Hypertech cap/roter, Msd 8.5s, Ngk cut back plugs and a 160 deg. thermostat...I'm curious to see if any improvements.
TA, let us know how you do at the track; my guess is....3mph!!
BTW, did you gap the plugs to .045-.050"?
Yes, I gapped them at .045. I can't wait to get back to the track. I ran a best of 13.89 prior to the above mods and I have an ASP crank pulley to install as well. Also waiting to install 2.5" front and rear y-pipes w/ two chamber flowmasters. Care to venture a guess on my et after installing the above? Oh, BTW my mph on that 13.89 run was 98.7.
