The time has arrived to get new spark plug wires and i was looking at LiveWires in Ecklers'! There 8mm which is what i want cuz i don't think 8.5 mm wires will fit in my looms! They protect up to 1400 degrees and they have a spiral wound core to prevent radio noise! So what do you think ??? There 109.99 for my set. Anyone have these and like them or should i look at others instead?? I currently have Moroso Blue Max 8mm :D
It's a shame the MSD 8.5's won't fit your looms, they are really very good wires. I've never pulled the end off of one, I've never had one burn up, and I've never had any radio interference from them. They are true to their advertising as well, only 50 ohms of resistance per foot.
Personally I'll never buy another plug wire, if it fits the loom or not.
Re: Which spark plug wires to get? (Nathan Plemons)
msd super conductors..the 8.5, make them fit, i did, they are the best aftermarket wire for the price i found. had taylors before and actually had spark leak and a misfire if they touched by the block..damn things grounded out if any oil or junk soaked in.
Replaced my OEM set with MSD's. Couldn't manage to get them to fit in the stock looms so I opted to remove the looms and have them held in place with Ty-wraps. Doesn't look as kewl but it really made a significant difference in how the car runs....must have picked up 25 hp....at least. hehe.
I had taylor wires on my 95 Formula F-body....cut to fit was the only drawback that I found...my brother has the car now and still has no problems with them.
Thanks for all the input guys! I haven't ordered anything yet but i feel i'm going to go with Moroso's again! I would like to get 8.5mm but i'm not changing the looms so....that sucks!
