Default Dual Mass Install

Any tips or things to look for when intalling the clutch? I have a never used 96 dual mass, clutch, and pressure plate off of a crate motor going in tonight.

93 Polo I just got my new centerforce clutch and it had a paper in it that said that there should be a yellow paint dab on the pressure plate aligned as close as possible to the paint dab or X on the stock GM factory flywheel as per OEM specifications. Failure to do so may result on a unbalanced clutch and flywheel assembly. And I would use new pressure plate bolts and new bolts for the flywheel. Just go to the local Chevy or GM dealer and see if they have them in stock or need to order them.

Defently get new pressure plate bolts.

I broke a few on mine. they are a 1 time use.

Wonder if ARP would have something like that for us...

nope. those are wierd bolts...

you will need to get a weight kit. this way you can be sure the flywheel is properly balanced.
