Personally, I'm a fan of electric water pumps for racing. All I had to do was look at the billet impeller on the Meziere vs the stamped steel impeller on the stock pump. It has got to be a lot more efficient. But Trackman must have something on his mind. Maybe the Mopar unit has longer impeller blades or something.
I like the electric because once in the pits you can slap on a charger and, with one switch, turn on the water pump and the radiator fans with the engine off. Cool the engine down in about 10 minutes.
Typically if an engine is overheating it's a function of the radiator and not the choice of water pumps. You have to enjoy the creativity of racers. Sometimes problems can be solved by folks that have to make it work.
i would be 2 but it hasent worked before allways got hot..called meziere they dont recomend it for road racing they say their 55gpm pump is not good enuf........like the honesty ............the mopar pump does have larger fins and i will massage them to make them even beter...

yea the new rad seems better...i paid strobe performance $2800 for a ron davis racing rad ,2 spall fans and install he promised me i would have no more overheating problems.....but alas i did and he went out of buisness where he belongs.......was also told buy several performance shops and race engine builders alike to revove the thermostat and use a restrictor instead......now i am learning about the lt1 system that was probibly a bad idea because of hot the 2 way thermostat works....i know the 160 degree thermostat the one builder/tuner used wasnt the 2 way one the lt1 needs
