Default Be Cool Radiator

Does anyone have the direct fit model for the c4? How was the install? Did you see a big temp difference?

Thanks
Jason

I think i'm gonna buy one after my 383, or right before. They have worked well for people who have them. Yes theres a model for you, you just have to find it in an Ecklers, Summit-type catalog.

L98Terror and BrianCunningham both have them in their C4s. I beleive install was very straigtforward and cooling improvement was immense.

Not yet. I haven't gotten into road racing yet where I would really need it. My car never went over 185 on summer days as it was before. I can only remember one day that it hit 230. It was about 90 degrees out and I was stuck in stop/go traffic in the sun for 3 hours.

I have a Custom Griffin in my 1992 coupe. Almost the same as the "BeCool". I had it made with 2 -1" rows so it would fit in the existing space.
Problems were, lower tank was the same thinkness, so I could not just drop it in the holder. Had to widen it a bit. Also the top was the same. Trans, (A/T) lines did not match the factory set up, had to change them around a bit.
As far as extra cooling. You really notice it in heavy traffic which is stop and go. I have a LT-1 and the temp hardly ever reaches 190 degrees with only the one fan going. If the second fan kicks in (193 degrees) the temp goes down to 180 degrees really fast. Freeway temp runs between 174-185 degrees, depend on the outside temp. ( 60's to 80's).

Here's my BeCool vs stock

The white thing is the spacer to make it fit.

Love it! :D
Road raced it a NHIS
just ran an autocross with it in 80 degree weather.
3 drivers doing heats and it never saw 190.

Thanks for all the responses. Is summit the cheapest place to get it?

Might take a look at the Griffin.

I bought one from Dewitt (supporting vendor) for similar price but mine is even bigger!

On the ZR1 board there was problems with the Be Cools failing from the LT5's water pressure, but the Griffin worked fine...sold me on it.

I'm sure either will work great.

I still don't have confirmed results...
